Northwestern senior to represent Wisconsin at American Legion Boys Nation
Jul. 16—Oscar Danz, an incoming senior at Northwestern High School, is representing Wisconsin at the American Legion's Boys Nation in Arlington, Virginia.
Danz joins 99 other incoming high school students representing 49 states and the District of Columbia at Marymount University July 19-26 as a senator to learn hands-on how the U.S. Senate and federal government function.
Danz serves as a youth member of the Douglas County Board.
The District of Columbia and each state, except Hawaii, holds a Boys State program for young men before their senior year of high school. Two senators from each program are selected to represent their state at Boys Nation.
