According to the NWS, the twister had a max width of 300 yards and had wind speeds that reached up to 80 MPH.

An EF-0 is a twister with wind speeds ranging from 65 to 85 MPH that can cause minor damage to roofs and chimneys, but well-built structures usually remain unharmed.

EF-0 tornadoes can also topple over billboards and signs and lead to broken tree limbs.

The twisters came only a day before a second round of intense storms brought at least five more tornadoes to Chicagoland on Monday night.
