Oceanic Bridge between Middletown and Rumson stuck open, avoid area: Cops

MIDDLETOWN - The Oceanic Bridge between Rumson and Middletown is stuck open due to the heat, according to police.

More local news: What was the loud boom in NJ today? Fireball? Sonic boom?

The span over the Navesink River connects Bingham Avenue in Rumson with Navesink River Road and Locust Point Road in Middletown.

Police in Middletown said they could not say immediately when the drawbridge would be able to accommodate motor vehicle traffic.
