One dead, three injured in northeast Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 39-year-old man has died and three others are injured after a shooting in northeast Columbus late Saturday night.

Authorities responded to the scene in the 500 block of North Ohio Avenue at 11:05 p.m. on Saturday after report of shooting, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Officers transported two men suffering from gunshot wounds to a local hospital in critical condition, and a woman also suffering from a gunshot wound who was taken in stable condition.

One of those victims, 39-year-old Ein Johnson, was pronounced dead at 11:05 p.m. despite efforts by medical personnel. The other man remains in critical condition. A fourth victim, a woman, who self transported herself to a local hospital is in stable condition.

Investigators are attempting to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident, and are asking anyone with information to call 614-645-4730.
