One-legged woman allegedly steals truck, hits owner with it

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A woman was arrested Friday after deputies said she stole a man’s pickup truck and hit him with it in a gas station parking lot.

According to reports, deputies were called to the Spinx gas station on Highway 14 where a man told deputies he’d run inside the station to buy a drink. On his way into the station, the man said he noticed a woman with one leg, later identified as Kellie Revis, sitting outside the station.

While waiting to pay for his drink, the man said he saw Revis, using a pair of crutches, cross the parking lot and climb into his truck. The man reportedly ran outside and attempted to stop her, but she drove off, hitting him with the truck as she went.

As they were investigating the incident, deputies said they were contacted by Duncan Police, who said they had caught Revis at a Chic-Fil-a on Main Street in Duncan.

Deputies said when they went to pick up Revis, officers gave them a bag they said was on Revis’ person when she was caught. The bag reportedly had one and a half pills of a controlled substance, two containers of Naloxone, a syringe and drug test strips.

The owner of the truck reportedly owns his own towing company and was able to get his truck, which had broken down in the restaurant parking lot, back.

Deputies said when they questioned Revis, she said a person named “Bobo” told her the truck did not belong to the victim and gave her permission to take it. She also claimed she did not know where the pills came from or how they got in her bag.

Revis was taken to the Spartanburg County Detention Center. She is expected to be charged with grand larceny, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of prescription medication, driving under suspension and malicious damage to personal property.
