1 person shot, killed in Columbia mall, police say
HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Howard County Police Department (HCPD) said it is investigating after one person was shot and killed in Columbia Mall Saturday evening following an altercation.
HCPD said that at around 6:10 p.m., police received a call for gunfire around the mall’s food court. There, officers found one man who had died at the scene.
Police arrest suspect in connection to fatal Dumfies hit-and-run
Police said that the people who were involved in the shooting had left the mall.
Detectives said they believe the victim, identified as Angelo Little, 17, of Columbia, was targeted.
Police had evacuated everyone from the mall by 9 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
