New Orleans fire crews respond to alleged meth lab in Gentilly Woods
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Crews with the New Orleans Fire Department responded to the scene of what investigators believe to be components of a meth lab in the Gentilly Woods area on Saturday, Sept. 7.
The NOFD reported that the Port of New Orleans Harbor Police arrested two people at the former Trinity Yachts site at 4325 Frances Road on Friday, Sept. 6, after they were allegedly found to be in possession of about one pound of meth.

According to the NOFD, “what is believed to the components of a meth lab” were found during a search of the building’s second floor.
NOFD officials said crews with its Hazardous Materials Unit, the New Orleans Police Department Bomb Squad, the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration were then dispatched to the scene to assist with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional information has not been provided.
