Part of Route 15 in Cumberland County closed after multi-vehicle crash sends 5 to hospital
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Part of Route 15 in Cumberland County shut down for hours Monday evening after a tractor-trailer crash reportedly sent multiple people to the hospital, according to officials.
A spokesperson for PennDOT said that the closure is for northbound traffic between Lower Allen Drive and the ramp for 581 eastbound and the road is expected to be shut down for at least four more hours.
The roadway has since reopened, according to PennDOT.
There were reportedly five people injured and rushed to the hospital from the crash that happened at 5:30 p.m. and was between a tractor-trailer and multiple passenger vehicles, the spokesperson said. There is no word on their condition or which vehicles they were traveling in.

The tractor-trailer was hauling flower when the crash happened, and crews are still at the scene working on clean-up, according to the spokesperson. Crews brought sand to the scene to clean up any fuel spilled from the crash.
