Part of soutbound I-35 in OKC will close Monday and Tuesday nights. Here's a detour.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced a stretch of interstate highway lanes in the Oklahoma City area will be closed for two nights.
Southbound Interstate 35 should be closed at Interstate 44 from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, the department said. It will then close again from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, due to ongoing road work in the area.
Drivers are advised to use westbound I-44 to southbound Interstate 235 as a detour and should plan ahead for extra travel time. The eastbound I-44 off-ramp to southbound I-35 is expected to remain open during the work period.
