Pedestrian struck, killed walking to mailbox in Franklin County

ANTRIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — A man was killed when he was struck by a car walking to his mailbox Friday.

State Police at Chambersburg said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. near 8556 Hades Church Road in Antrim Township.

Troopers said Troy Truax, 59, was walking to his mailbox when he was struck by a 2015 Ford. He was pronounced dead.

The Ford was driven by Thomas Michalsky, 25, of Greencastle, who was not injured.

Troopers did not say if citations would be filed.
