Person dies in four-vehicle Fort Washington crash, Route 210 closed

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (DC News Now) — First responders were called to a major crash on Route 210 on Friday.

Officers responded to the area of Fort Washington Road and Indian Head Highway at about 6:15 p.m. Four vehicles were involved in a crash there.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said one of the drivers, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other drivers were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The fourth driver stayed at the scene and was not hurt, police said. Investigators were still working to determine the cause of the crash into Friday night.

Both north and southbound lanes of Indian Head Highway between East Swan Creek Road and Old Fort Road are closed.

Officials said to expect “major delays” and stay alert for any responding emergency vehicles in the area.
