Phil Younghusband & siblings move on after mom’s death

Life goes on for Philippine Azkal player Phil Younghusband and his siblings, James and Keri after their mother, Susan died from heart attack last September 11.

The prayers and support they got in their time of grief are helping them move on.

“The whole Philippines has been amazing to us. We’re one big happy family. We’d like to thank everyone who has been there for us and supported us,” Phil said in an interview on ‘TV Patrol’ yesterday.

Phil, James and Keri’s father died of cancer years ago.

Phil and James, together with the rest of Philippine Azkals will be compete in the Long Teng Football Cup in Taipei on September 30.  The brothers are trying to get back on track and work hard for their youngest sibling, Keri.

“It’s a difficult time at the moment, but we just need to keep working. We have a youngest sister to think about so it’s important that we get back to real life and start thinking about our youngest sister,” Phil said.

He acknowledged the support from special friend Angel Locsin, who expressed her sympathies for the family in previous interviews.

“Angel’s been amazing to me. She has been there every step of the way. I feel very thankful and blessed,” Phil said.

Phil, in turn, also expressed his excitement and support for Angel’s new movie with John Lloyd Cruz.

“Her last movie ‘In the Name of Love’ was amazing, and I’m sure her next movie will be just as good. I can’t wait (for it). I’m excited to see the movie. She’s very masipag,” Phil remarked.
