PICS: Car fire in Clearfield threatens nearby home

CLEARFIELD, Utah (ABC4) — Fire crews were called to a car that had caught fire in Clearfield, the flames threatening a nearby home.

North Davis Fire District Chief Mark Becraft said crews responded at 9:17 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, to the area of 180 N and 360 W in Clearfield.

Upon arrival, a vehicle was engulfed in flames and threatening a nearby home. Crews were able to put the fire out. Damage was limited to the garage, car, and siding of the home. Damages are estimated at $45,000 to $50,000.

Authorities said the family will be able to occupy the home tonight. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
