Pixley 13-year-old arrested for shooting threats against Delano school

PIXLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 13-year-old girl from Pixley has been arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot up a school in Delano, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies say they were called around 1 p.m. on Thursday for a school threat to the Wonderful Prep Academy in the 2000 block of Veneto in Delano.

Upon arrival, the Sheriff’s Office said deputies learned a 13-year-old girl had threatened to shoot up the school on Snapchat. The girl was found and arrested for making criminal threats toward the school – however, deputies report no weapons were found on her.

Sheriff Boudreaux wants to remind everyone that law enforcement is not taking these threats lightly and that any threat toward another student, whether in person or online, will be fully prosecuted. He asks parents to make their children aware of the consequences.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
