(FOX40.COM) — A crop duster struggling to take off in Sutter County resulted in a rather rare crash that resulted in no reported injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol Yuba-Sutter Station.

The plane continued traveling close to ground level causing it to clip a fence and hit a Ford F-150 that was driving along a nearby roadway.

As a precaution the driver of the truck was sent to the hospital and the pilot said they had no injuries.

While the FAA works to clear the scene, Nicolaus Avenue and Pleasant Grove Road will remain closed.

The CHP Yuba-Sutter station said the reporting officer has more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement and had never seen a crash quite like this one.
