Plethora of drugs seized during traffic stop on State Highway 82 in Wisconsin

LA FARGE, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people from Wisconsin were arrested after a traffic stop on State Highway 82 revealed a plethora of drugs in a vehicle.

According to a release, a deputy with the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle traveling east on State Highway 82 near Spry Road in La Farge on Thursday, July 11.

Authorities found a wide variety of drugs, including methamphetamine, THC, and more. This led to the arrest of the two occupants of the vehicle.

The passenger, Kimberly Sheehan, is being charged with:

  • Possess Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture, Compound, Convert, Produce, or Store Methamphetamine

    • Repeater

  • Possession of Methamphetamine

    • Repeater

  • Possession of Narcotic Drugs

    • Repeater

  • Possess Drug Paraphernalia

  • Possess Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture, Compound, Convert, Produce, or Store Methamphetamine

    • Repeater

  • Possess Drug Paraphernalia to Manufacture, Compound, Convert, Produce, or Store Methamphetamine

    • Repeater

  • Possess Drug Paraphernalia

  • Operating While Revoked (Rev due to alc/contr subst/refusal)

  • Possession of THC (2nd+ Offense)

    • Repeater

The driver, Lukas Mesa, was arrested on an apprehension request previously issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and unrelated domestic abuse charges stemming from an incident on July 6 in De Soto.

Wisconsin state officials remind motorists about animal-drawn vehicles in rural areas

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says both Sheehan and Mesa appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court on July 12th. Sheehan’s cash bond was set at $1,000, and Mesa’s was ordered at a $2,500 signature bond.

This incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been provided.
