Police ask for help in shooting death of man at apartment complex

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police continue to investigate the deadly shooting of a 24-year-old man early Saturday morning, July 20 at a far East El Paso apartment complex, they said.

Police have identified the victim as a 24-year-old Hispanic man. They have not released his name at this time.

At 3:54 a.m. Saturday, patrol officers responded to multiple calls of gunshots that were heard in the area of 4101 Rich Beem Blvd. at the Gonzalez Place Apartments.

When the officers arrived, they found the victim, fatally wounded in the parking lot.

Detectives from the Crimes Against Persons Unit and Criminalistics Unit investigators responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. Investigators processed the scene and collected any possible evidence, police said.

In addition, detectives have been identifying possible witnesses to the shooting.
