Police investigate theft at Las Vegas Strip mall

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Las Vegas Metropolitan police investigated a theft at a mall on the Las Vegas Strip.

It happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday when officers received reports of a possible robbery inside the Fashion Show Mall, police stated.

Police told 8 News Now that when officers arrived they learned that several people who were “wearing dark clothing” entered a jewelry store and allegedly took several items.

Earlier reports of gunfire in the area were unsubstantiated, according to police.

Adept, a startup developing AI-powered "agents" to complete various software-based tasks, has agreed to license its tech to Amazon and the startup's co-founders and portions of its team have joined the ecommerce giant. According to Soper, Adept co-founder and CEO David Luan will join Amazon, along with Adept co-founders Augustus Odena, Maxwell Nye, Erich Elsen and Kelsey Szot and other Adept employees.

On Friday, rumors of some kind of cyberattack against HubSpot began circulating on social media. When reached by TechCrunch on Friday, HubSpot's chief information security officer Alyssa Robinson said in a statement that the company “identified a security incident that involved bad actors targeting a limited number of HubSpot customers and attempting to gain unauthorized access to their accounts.”
