Police investigating accidental shooting from June

SPRING TOWNSHIP — An accidental shooting last month near Springboro remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police at Meadville.

Information on the June 16 incident at an apartment on Creek Road in Spring Township, just west of Springboro, wasn't released by state police until this week.

Troopers were called to Meadville Medical Center on June 16 for a report of an accidental gunshot wound, according to a news release.

The pistol used in the shooting was seized and submitted into evidence.

The incident took place at 9:27 a.m. June 16, according to the release, which did not indicate who was injured. Tribune calls to investigators at the Meadville barracks Wednesday weren't returned.
