Police: Lancaster man charged with slashing man at Park City Diner

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A man was injured and a second is facing charges after a slashing at a diner in Lancaster County.

Ahmed Fayed, 24, of Lancaster, allegedly entered the Park City Diner and swung a knife at a man behind a counter, slashing him, according to the charges filed by Manheim Township Police.

Fayed called Lancaster County dispatch and said that “the mission was over,” after the incident, police said in the criminal complaint.

Police said they were called to the diner Monday just after 6 p.m. and say the victim’s face was slashed, causing a laceration that was longer than five inches from near his left ear to his nose.

Fayed allegedly admitted to police that he had “marked” the man and he went to the diner with the intent to attack him, according to the criminal complaint.

Fayed faces a felony charge of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor charge of possession an instrument of crime with intent to use it.

Fayed is currently locked up in Lancaster County Prison with bail set at $250,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 13.
