Police log: Truck damaged in rock-throwing incident

A vehicle was vandalized in South Manheim Twp. after someone threw rocks in its direction on Nov. 3, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.

Police received a call for an unknown person or persons throwing rocks at vehicles on Deiberts Valley Road at its intersection with Berne Drive.

A 34-year-old Auburn man had his 2023 Chevrolet Silverado damaged in the attack, police said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call state police at Schuylkill Haven at 570-754-4600.

Pine Grove man suffers injuries in 1-vehicle crash

A 59-year-old Pine Grove man suffered injuries after he struck a tree while driving in Pine Grove Twp., state police at Schuylkill Haven said.

Police said Troy A. Schneck was driving a Jaguar XE on Pleasant Valley Road (Route 443) on Nov. 18 when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway, striking a tree.

Schneck was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-East for suspected serious injuries and was taken into custody for a DUI, police said.

Woman charged in domestic violence incident

State police at Schuylkill Haven charged a 39-year-old Westbury, New York, woman in connection with a domestic disturbance on Wynonah Drive in South Manheim Twp.

Police said Ewelina Bazydlo struck a 38-year-old Westbury man in the head with a wine bottle on Nov. 29.

Bazydlo was taken into custody, and charges were filed through the office of Magisterial District Judge Andrew J. Serina, Orwigsburg, according to police.

Man charged with drug possession

A 38-year-old Tamaqua man was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop in Rush Twp., state police at Frackville said.

Police said Anthony Pascoe was pulled over for numerous vehicle code violations Nov. 29 on the 300 block of Claremont Avenue. Police searched his vehicle and found he was in possession of an illegal substance.

Criminal charges against Pascoe are pending, police said.

Police investigating identity theft

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a report of an identity theft and fraudulent purchase made in the name of a 44-year-old Pine Grove man.

Police said an unknown person purchased five virtual reality headsets, totaling over $1,000, in the victim’s name.

The incident was reported Nov. 20 on the 100 block of Mexico Road, according to police.
