14-year-old girl dies in shooting at party in Aurora park

DENVER (KDVR) — Police in Aurora said a 14-year-old girl died in a shooting at a party in an Aurora park. The party was attended by numerous minors, according to police.

Two others, another 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, were also injured. All three were taken to a local hospital.

Police said they are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

According to police, there was a fight at the party that ended in a shooting. The shooting happened in the 1400 block of South Uruvan Street around 9:15 p.m.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning, but police said the investigation showed the incident was isolated and that there was no threat to the general public.
