Police searching for Kentucky man accused of causing fatal DUI collision
Kentucky State Police are searching for a man accused of causing a February fatal collision while driving drunk.
Curtis Jackson, 44, of Berea, has an arrest warrant for vehicular homicide, DUI 2nd offense and other offenses related to the crash, KSP said. Anyone with information about Jackson’s whereabouts is asked to contact KSP post 7 Richmond at 859-623-2404. People may also report tips confidentially through the KSP website tip form.
The collision happened Feb. 19 on Mt. Vernon Road (US-25) in Berea. KSP said Jackson was attempting to turn left onto Mt. Vernon Road from Slate Lick Road when he crossed into the path of 25-year-old Jeffrey Crowe, who was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Crowe was pronounced dead on scene by the Madison County Coroner’s Office, according to KSP. Jackson suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Crowe’s obituary says he was born in Richmond and was employed with Jade Enterprises. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, skateboarding, cooking and eating.
In 2022 Jackson was found guilty of DUI and paid a $200 fine, according to court records. He has an active DUI charge in Madison County District Court from June 2023.
