Police seek man in connection with weekend theft

The Kokomo Police Department is asking the public to help identify and locate a man they say urinated on several clothing items last weekend inside Old Navy.

The incident occurred Saturday, according to a KPD media release.

That’s when a complainant reported to police a male entered the store and retrieved a shopping cart, per the release.

The male then began placing several articles of clothing inside a bag and walked to the restroom, investigators stated in the release, but the restrooms were reportedly occupied at the time.

Witnesses told police the male then grabbed several pants from a clothing rack, placed them on the floor and began urinating on them, the release noted.

After being confronted by someone in the store, police say, the male then gathered the pants from the floor, along with the clothing he had placed in the bag, and walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise.

Investigators captured the person they believe to be the individual involved in the incident on store surveillance.

He is described in the release as a Black male, possibly in his 40s or 50s, wearing a black hat, black Nike shirt, light-colored jean shorts and white shoes.
