Prince George’s County police identify woman killed in Beltsville crash

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is working to learn the cause of a deadly three-vehicle crash involving a dump truck in Beltsville on Friday.

On June 21 around 2:40 p.m., officers responded to a wreck near the intersection of Old Gunpowder Road and Sinope Way. According to the PGPD, the preliminary investigation revealed the crash happened in the northbound lanes of Old Gunpowder Road.

The driver of one of the vehicles was identified as 41-year-old Tamecka Allen, of Springfield.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said passengers along with the drivers of the car and dump truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
