New principal named for Spring Hill Middle School

Maury County Public Schools has announced Kendra Chapman to serve as the new principal of Spring Hill Middle School.

Chapman comes to the job with more than 25 years' experience in education, ranging from classroom teacher, instructional coach, principal and district leader. Her most recent role has been serving as Middle and High School Coordinator for MCPS.

“I look forward to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.," Chapman said. "I am eager to work with the dedicated staff, supportive families, and the broader community to continue the tradition of excellence at Spring Hill Middle School.”

Chapman's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in political science, with a minor in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She received her Master's focusing on special education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Chapman later received her School Administration credentials from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and is licensed to teach and administer K-12 education in Virginia and Tennessee.

"Kendra Chapman’s extensive background in education, her proven leadership across multiple roles, and her commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment make her an excellent fit for Spring Hill Middle School," Superintendent Lisa Ventura said. "We are confident that under her guidance, Spring Hill Middle School will continue to thrive and excel."
