Property grading begins for Sprouts Farmers Market, Mister Car Wash, Raising Cane’s

Construction crews have started grading property for a new shopping center along Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley that will include Sprouts Farmers Market, Raising Cane’s and Mister Car Wash.

On Friday, dozens of sprinklers wet the soil as earth-moving vehicles watched over the property on the south side of Bear Valley Road east of Apple Valley Road.

The 39,743-square-foot shopping center will include space for an additional drive-thru restaurant and retail building with multiple tenant spaces.

The center will occupy 8.25 acres of the nearly 13-acre parcel, a Town of Apple Valley staff report revealed.

The project includes improvements along Bear Valley Road, Flying Feather Road to the east, and Apple Bear Road to the west.

The free-standing Sprouts in Apple Valley will be the second to be constructed in the High Desert after the company opened a Victorville location in March.

Melissa Turner of Hesperia was one of several High Desert residents who heralded the coming of Sprouts Farmers Market.

"I currently shop at the Sprouts in Victorville, and that's a long drive for me," Turner said. "The Apple Valley Sprouts will be less than 10 minutes from my house and with less traffic."

Sprouts

Best known for offering fresh produce, meats, and organic food, the Victorville Sprouts is located in a retail center, anchored by Get Air, Hobby Lobby and the recently shuttered 99 Cents Only store.

The Sprouts grocery chain boasts that it “appeals to everyday shoppers interested in fresh, natural, and organic products at affordable prices.”

Sprouts stores offer The Butcher Shop and Fish Market and the Fresh Market Corner Deli where entrees and sides are prepared.

The grocery store also sells a variety of vitamins, supplements, bulk foods, dairy, and bakery items. They also offer gluten-free options

Mister Car Wash

The new Mister Car Wash will be the second facility in town after the company opened a location in March on the corner of Dale Evans Parkway and Highway 18 in Apple Valley.

The newly opened Mister Car Wash is located near Apple Valley Town Hall and is the first stand-alone express car wash in town.

In 2022, the Arizona-based Mister Car Wash announced the acquisition of three Speed Wash locations in Victorville and one in Hesperia.

Raising Cane’s

Raising Cane’s first introduction to the High Desert came in May 2021, when the Louisiana-based company opened a restaurant at 2620 Fisher Boulevard near the Outlets at Barstow.

In December 2021, Raising Cane’s opened a quick-service restaurant on the corner of Main Street and Escondido Avenue in Hesperia.

The Louisiana-based restaurant serves chicken finger meal combos, chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and tangy Cane’s sauce.
