Rep. Friske to head back to office; no charges filed

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State Representative Neil Friske (R-107th Dist.) released a statement on Monday indicating he will return to the office this week after being released from jail last week.

Friske was arrested last Thursday after the Lansing Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the 2100 block of Forest Rd near Aurelius Rd. On Friday, police requested the Ingham County prosecutor to file three felony charges against Friske: Sexual Assault, Assault Excluding Sexual, and Weapons Offense.

Friske was released from custody last Friday and has not been charged by the Ingham County Prosecutor at this time.

Rep. Neil Friske was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2022. He represents the 107th House District in Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. The district includes all of Charlevoix and Emmet counties and portions of Cheboygan, Chippewa, and Mackinac counties.
