Republic of Texas Brands Incorporated Announces Corporate Stategy Change, Hiring of eMediaplex, and Current Status on OTC Markets

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - Nov 5, 2012) - Jerry Grisaffi, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Republic of Texas Brands Incorporated (PINKSHEETS: RTXB), announced today a change in RTXB's corporate strategy to concentrate solely on producing smoked meats at the barbecue processing plant to distribute through the Company's 1824 Texas Best Barbecue Restaurants and its redesigned website.

"We have positioned RTXB to create and support a unique barbecue restaurant concept in the exploding fast/casual dining segment that will be both scalable and replicable for rapid expansion. After the initial 6 months of operations, we will be able to roll out a franchising program that will create significant growth opportunities for the Company," said Grisaffi.

Grisaffi also announced that the Company has contracted with eMediaplex (www.emediaplex.com) to rebuild its website with a focus on selling its smoked meat products over the internet to consumers. eMediaplex will provide the Company with a full suite of marketing and corporate communcations services. "The expertise and talent that eMediaplex brings to Republic of Texas will help insure our success in building our brand and reaching end consumers. We expect a significant amount of revenue to be generated through our internet presence," said Grisaffi.
