Savannah Chrisley, the reality star, blasted prosecutors in her speech at the Republican National Convention, claiming that her parents were “persecuted” by the justice system “due to our public profile and conservative beliefs.”

Her parents, Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley, stars of the reality series Chrisley Knows Best, are serving sentences in prison after they were convicted in 2022 of federal fraud and tax charges. They are appealing.

In her speech, Savannah Chrisley said, “You may have seen my family on TV, but for the past decade we have been persecuted by rogue prosecutors in Fulton County due to put public profile.” The crowd caught the reference — the county where Donald Trump and other defendants are facing racketeering charges related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

“I know, Fulton County,” Chrisley said. “They know how to do it, alright, due to our public profile and conservative beliefs.”

Chrisley also complained further of a justice system that treats conservatives differently. “Justice is supposed to be blind, but today we have a two face justice system. Just look at what they are doing to President Trump, all along. Let’s face it, Hunter Biden is roaming around free and attending classified meetings,” she said.

President Joe Biden’s son, though, was convicted last month of all three federal gun charges, and faces a trial on tax charges this fall. Other Democrats also have recently been convicted. Earlier today, Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was convicted on a series of bribery charges.
