Ride On bus with passengers crashes in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A collision involving a Ride On bus – with passengers – happened early Thursday morning in Montgomery County.

Pete Piringer, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) said in a post on X made at 7 a.m. that the crash was in the 4900 block of Strathmore Avenue, near Stillwater Avenue, in the area of Garrett Park.

Several people were being evaluated by EMS crews, all of whom had non-life-threatening injuries.

Strathmore Avenue was closed between Stillwater Avenue and Flanders Avenue, causing delays for morning commuters. Drivers should seek an alternative route as crews work at the scene.
