Rock Ledge Ranch increases accessibility for visitors

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The historic Rock Ledge Ranch near Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs is making improvements that will make the site more accessible and inclusive.

Rock Ledge Ranch is a historic site, and many of its buildings are old and inaccessible to visitors with disabilities. In an effort to provide a user-friendly and accessible experience for all visitors, the ranch has created a kiosk that provides narrated video tours.

The kiosk will ensure all visitors can experience the history and culture of the ranch—even if they are unable to go into the buildings themselves. Additionally, the video tours are presented in a variety of formats, with audio descriptions, American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, and Spanish audio and captions.

The kiosk also has a touch screen, large text options and adjustable audio. The kiosk is now available for use. It is located inside the Carriage House, and all visitors are welcome to use the kiosk to learn more about the history of Rock Ledge Ranch and the surrounding area.
