Roswell PD releases video of May police shooting

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – The Roswell Police Depratment released video on Thursday of a shootout in May that left an officer injured and the suspect dead. According to police, Faustino Charette Jr. fled on foot and hid under a pile of tires after a high-speed chase with police. Police said he fired at Sgt. Chance Cavin hitting him in the leg.

When officers arrived at the scene, they dragged Cavin to safety. The department said Cavin is recovering.
