Rudy Giuliani took a tumble at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.

The former New York City mayor, who is 80 years old, had been walking in the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when he suddenly tipped over into some empty chairs, according to video footage of the incident.

A few people appeared to offer a hand to the recently disbarred lawyer, previously the personal attorney to former President Donald Trump, eventually helping him up. Meanwhile, a couple of photographers were seen snapping pictures of Giuliani as he rose.

In a Tuesday night response on X, formerly Twitter, Giuliani acknowledged the fall and thanked people for their concern.

As video clips of the fall made their rounds online, some social media users speculated that Guiliani had been drinking alcohol, which he has faced some scrutiny forthrough the years.

Ted Goodman, a spokesperson for Giuliani, confirmed to HuffPost Wednesday that Giuliani was unharmed and able to continue his plans for the day.

“Those falsely suggesting anything else are misleading the public for their own agendas. Anyone who wants to question Mayor Giuliani’s stamina or abilities should check out the half dozen interviews he had just completed before coming over to the convention floor,” Goodman said.

“The mayor immediately stood up and continued with his jam-packed schedule, collecting video footage and talking with reporters,” Goodman added. “Mayor Giuliani is thrilled to be here in support of his friend, the 45th and soon-to-be 47th President of the United States, Donald J Trump.”

Michael Ragusa, the head of Rudy Giuliani’s security detail, also confirmed in a statement to HuffPost Wednesday that Giuliani was not hurt.

“Unfortunately, Mayor Giuliani was not notified there was a step off the decline at the RNC venue yesterday. He took a misstep and fell over,” Ragusa said. “He was uninjured and unfazed by this incident.”

The Trump ally has been livestreaming throughout the convention for his online show, “The Rudy Giuliani Show.” (A New York radio station had been airing his show up until May, when the station canceled it for his baseless 2020 election conspiracies.)

Years after pushing lies about the 2020 election — lies that fueled the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection — a Manhattan appeals court disbarred Giuliani earlier this month.

Giuliani also recently filed for bankruptcy after two Georgia election workers won $148 million in a defamation suit against him last year, but a judge threw out his bankruptcy case on Friday.

A reporter asked Giuliani if he carried any regret for defaming the two election workers in an interview at RNC Tuesday, according to CNN.

“I have no regrets at all. I’m on the side of justice, right and truth,” Giuliani said.
