Saltville to restore water, fix faulty pump on Wednesday

SALTVILLE, Va. (WJHL)—The Town of Saltville announced in a social media post that it has found a permanent pump to help restore residents’ water, which will arrive on Tuesday. The boil water notice is still in effect.

The Town of Saltville has been without water since Monday due to a faulty pump. A temporary pump was put in on Thursday but has been unable to keep up with residents’ water lines.

The post said the permanent pump will be picked up in Mississippi on Tuesday night and installed by a contractor on Wednesday.

Those who did not lose water may experience a temporary outage while the permanent pump is being put in.

The town has contractors and engineers monitoring current conditions and asks that all residents conserve water. Those in need of water can pick up a donation at the Saltville Fire Department.
