San Angelo ISD announces new Chromebook plan and back-to-school events

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) —Dr. Farrah Gomez, San Angelo ISD’s deputy superintendent and chief academic officer announced during the district’s three-day professional learning event, Learning Palooza, that the district will provide 4,500 brand-new Chromebooks to high school students for the 2024-2025 school year.

While some Chromebooks have arrived, the remaining devices are now expected by the end of July. To accommodate this delay, San Angelo ISD has rescheduled its high school schedule pick-up and form verification events to Aug. 1.

San Angelo ISD middle and high schools, including Glenn Middle School, Lincoln Middle School, Lone Star Middle School, Central High School, Lake View High School, PAYS School, and the Carver Learning Center, will hold their annual back-to-school events on the aforementioned updated dates.
