School bus with students aboard involved in crash in Myrtle Beach area, officials said

A Socastee High School bus crashed, resulting in one person being sent to the hospital, according to Horry County Spokesperson Lisa Bourcier.

The bus had students aboard. It is unclear if the person injured was a student.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday near Forestbrook Road and Panthers Parkway, Horry County Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post. It is unclear why the two-vehicle collision occurred.

One person was sent to the hospital at 8:05 a.m. Information on the injured has not been released.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigation the incident. Horry County Fire Rescue said to avoid the area to prevent delays.
