Here are the new school leaders in the metro-east. Learn about their backgrounds, salaries
It’s officially back-to-school time.
This week and next, students across the metro-east will start their school years. Many will see new faces, not only in their peers and teachers, but also their principals and superintendents.
In an effort to help parents and students learn about their new school leaders, the Belleville News-Democrat has contacted over 70 public school districts and private schools in St. Clair, Madison, Monroe, Clinton, Randolph, Washington and Bond counties to see which have a new principal or superintendent.
Across the seven counties, there are 49 new school leaders in the region for the upcoming school year: 38 principals, nine superintendents, one combined superintendent and principal, and one regional superintendent.
The BND asked each new administrator to complete a questionnaire about their experience, education, salary, messages for students and families, and more.
