Sean Combs’ mother hospitalized in the Miami area. Here’s what we know so far

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ summer just got worse.

His 83-year-old mother has been hospitalized in South Florida, TMZ first reported.

Janice Combs (née Smalls) was suffering from chest pains and sought medical care on Wednesday, according to the outlet.

She reportedly has a home in the area and has been spotted at her son’s Star Island mansion in the weeks since the feds raided it as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

“The stress of everything has been a lot for her,” an insider tells NBC News.

TMZ sources say Combs, 54, has been at the hospital to be at her bedside.

The retired teacher/model raised Diddy and his younger sister Keisha as a single mom after their father’s death in 1972.

Melvin Combs, an alleged associate of infamous NYC drug dealer Frank Lucas (who inspired the movie “American Gangster”) was gunned down after a botched drug deal. The case was reportedly never solved.

Mother and son have always been tight. On her 80th birthday in December 2020, Diddy posted a picture of them together on his since deleted Instagram account:

“I only exist because of this beautiful, hardworking, loving, hilarious, ass-whooping, always telling me the truth, genuine, smart, fly absolutely amazing Black Goddess Queen!!” said the homage.

The woman’s health news comes about a week after yet another person filed a lawsuit against the fallen Bad Boy Records founder.

According to documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday, Adria English accuses the rapper of drugging her and using her as a “sexual pawn” for his party guests while she was employed as a go-go dancer. English is seeking unspecified damages.
