See it: 3rd shark spotted by NYPD drones at Rockaway Beach in Queens
ROCKAWAY BEACH, Queens (PIX11) – A shark was spotted in the waters off Rockaway Beach in Queens on Sunday, according to the NYPD.
It’s the third shark sighting at the beach in just a few days.
At least two sharks were reported on Thursday afternoon, leading to a partial shutdown of the beach.
The NYPD will continue to use drones to monitor the waters in New York City all summer long, the department said.
A woman was bit by a shark at Rockaway Beach last summer, officials said.
