See a live map of Arizona US Senate Republican 2024 primary election results

The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com have created a map that allows you to see where votes for Republican U.S. Senate candidates are coming from in every precinct in the state.

When you click on a county, a map of that county with dots and precinct borders will appear. Each dot represents five voters for a particular candidate, and they are randomly dispersed throughout the precinct (in other words, the dot does not represent where the voters actually live).

Every time the Arizona Secretary of State's Office announces new voting results, the map will update to reflect that, allowing you to see which parts of cities, towns and counties favor candidates Kari Lake, Mark Lamb or Elizabeth Reye. The results will start to appear on the map when they are announced Tuesday night, about 8 p.m.

How to use the map, and how we did it

The 2024 Republican primary election results are shown at both the county- and precinct-level statewide. Clicking on a county takes you to the precinct-level result for that county, with each dot representing five voters.

To compare the map to past results, the second tab above the map shows the top two vote-getters in the crowded 2022 Republican U.S. Senate primary in each county. The third tab shows Maricopa County results from the 2022 primary with detail down to the precinct level.

The Republic is using the dot-density map instead of making precincts a solid color to represent the candidate who is leading. The dot map gives a more accurate picture of variations in vote returns and results within a given area.

Data reporters at The Republic built this tool by obtaining digital precinct maps from each county and writing a computer program to have results posted by the Arizona Secretary of State's Office automatically fill into the maps.
