Semi, vehicle crash near Rochester International Airport Thursday morning

Jul. 18—HIGH FOREST TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A passenger vehicle and semi collided on Minnesota Highway 30 near the Rochester International Airport on Thursday morning, July 18, 2024.

A 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Highway 30 and a 2010 Freightliner semi was traveling south on 44th Avenue Southwest when they collided near the intersection around 9:45 a.m. Thursday, according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 75-year-old Sharon Lea Kenitz of Hollandale, Minnesota, was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys. She was not injured, according to the report.

The driver of the semi, 57-year-old Shawn Daniel Johnson of Gibbon, Minnesota, was also not injured, the report said.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service and Rochester Fire Department responded to the crash.
