Sheboygan man convicted of threatening a public officer in a 2023 voicemail wishing death on a judge
SHEBOYGAN – Alfred Lee Hudson, 41, was found guilty Sept. 5 for threatening a judge, according to Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney.
Toney, who served as a special prosecutor in Sheboygan County, said Hudson was convicted of one count of threat to an officer of the court, a class H felony. Calumet County Judge Carey Reed sentenced him to to one year of initial confinement and three years of extended supervision.
On May 9, 2023, Hudson left a threatening voicemail for a judge who had previously presided over a criminal case with him as a defendant.
According to the criminal complaint, the voicemail was 8 minutes long. In it, Hudson blamed the judge for being falsely accused of a crime and stated he wanted the judge's "individuals D-E-A-D."
Sheboygan County Police Department investigated the case. The judge's name is not published because they were the victim in the case.
