Victim shot in leg at San Mateo shopping center

(KRON) — Authorities are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday morning in San Mateo, the San Mateo Police Department announced. The shooting happened around 11:29 a.m. at the Shoreview Shopping Center.

At least one shot was fired into a vehicle at the shopping center, police said. A victim was shot in the leg, and he drove himself to the hospital.

Shoreview Shopping Center is located on the 400 block of S. Norfolk Street in East San Mateo.
