STILLWATER — A plane crash at Lake Carl Blackwell sent two people to the hospital Saturday morning, police say.

The Oklahoma State University Police Department and other agencies were investigating the crash of "a small, private plane not affiliated with the university" near the dam at the lake, according to a social media post by OSU Campus Safety.

A KOCO-TV report late Saturday afternoon showed an ultralight aircraft had crashed and flipped in the lake. The passengers were transported to Stillwater Medical Center, campus officials said, and the site of the crash was closed off for further investigation. Drivers were advised to avoid the area of the dam directly south of Camp Redlands.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
