MIDWOOD, N.Y. (PIX11) — A man found a snake in his bathtub in Midwood Wednesday morning, police said.

When he tried to remove the snake, it bit him, police said.

177-pound python caught in Florida is one of the heaviest officials have seen

The 18-inch corn snake was spotted in the bathtub of an apartment on Ocean Parkway near Avenue H around 6:20 a.m., police said. The person tried to pick it up and put it in the toilet, and the snake bit him on the index finger, police said.

He dropped the snake and called 911, police said. The snake was taken to an Animal Care Centers of NYC facility in Queens.

It’s the fourth snake spotted in New York City just this month.

On June 5, a 5-foot-long boa constrictor was found at an Upper West Side apartment. And a couple of days later, a snake was caught in a bucket on 47th Street. Another snake slithered out from under the seat of a rented U-Haul truck in Lower Manhattan.
