Snow predicted tonight, this weekend in Connecticut. What to know about weather forecast
Connecticut might see some snow tonight and again this weekend.
The National Weather Service's detailed forecast for the next three days says that Norwich may be in store for some snow on Sunday.
"A chance of rain and snow after 1pm," the detailed forecast said of Sunday. "Chance of precipitation is 30%."
The forecast then said that Sunday night has a 50% chance of snowfall.
The forecaster's discussion said that some parts of Connecticut and the tri-state area may be affected by the northern side of the precipitation shield, providing the possibility for some light snow, primarily for the coastal areas.
There may also be some snow this afternoon, Thursday, Jan. 16, as the weather service also said that there is a 20% chance of snow showers after 4 p.m. today, with a greater chance of seeing snow in the early evening through 1 a.m.
What's going to be the temperature this weekend in Connecticut
The National Weather Service said that Saturday will see a high of near 47 degrees as well as a low hovering around 30 that night.

Norwich is set to see a high of near 41 degrees with mostly sunny weather and a low of about 18 at night, the forecast said.
Taking into account the long weekend, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is expected to have a high of almost 27 degrees and a low of about 8 at night, according to the weather service's detailed forecast.
