Southbound I-225 reopened after 3-vehicle crash

DENVER (KDVR) – Southbound Interstate 225 reopened after a multi-vehicle crash at 17th Place caused multiple injuries.

Just after 6 a.m., the Aurora Police Department tweeted about a crash involving three vehicles that shut down all lanes and caused injuries. At the time, police were diverting traffic off the roadway. Just before 7 a.m., police tweeted that the interstate was reopened.

SkyFOX was on the scene where there appeared to be multiple fire trucks, police cars and an ambulance.

At this time, it’s unclear how many drivers were involved and the extent of the injuries.
