Southern California substitute teacher arrested for alleged child molestation

A Southern California substitute teacher was arrested for alleged child molestation and sexual assault.

The suspect, Andrew Sandoval, worked as a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide in several schools in the greater Los Angeles County area, according to South Gate police.

He was arrested on July 25 on suspicion of child molestation and other related charges.

Details on his charges were not released, however, detectives are searching for additional victims of unreported sex assaults involving the suspect.

The suspect, Andrew Louie Sandoval, is seen in a booking photo from the South Gate Police Department on July 25, 2024.

Sandoval’s photo was released in case victims may recognize him.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the South Gate Police Department at 323-563-5436.

The founder and CEO of Singapore-based marketplace Qoo10 has pledged to use his personal assets to secure about $58 million (80 billion KRW) to compensate South Korean customers and vendors affected by his company's liquidity crisis, which in turn resulted in failed payments to about 60,000 small merchants who sell through its Korean marketplace subsidiaries, TMON and WeMakePrice. During an emergency hearing held by the South Korean government to discuss Qoo10's liquidity crisis, Young-bae Ku, the company's founder, said he would secure the amount over the next 30 days. “I will sell my whole stake in Qoo10 or use it as collateral to deal with the situation,” Ku said.
