St. Cloud woman arrested for crystal meth, false name after Haven Township traffic stop

A 29-year-old St. Cloud woman appeared before a Sherburne County judge Tuesday after a traffic stop led to drug possession charges.

The woman's court appearance comes after she was pulled over by authorities on Dec. 5 on Highway 10 in Haven Township. When the officer came to the defendant's vehicle, the defendant allegedly gave the officer her sister's name instead of her own, according to court records. The officer reportedly caught the woman in the act as a photo in law enforcement's database didn't match the driver.

Authorities then confronted the woman about the discrepancy, and she reportedly admitted she gave the false name. The woman then told authorities she had drugs on her after realizing she was going to the Sherburne County Jail for providing a false name, according to records.
